Hair!

0

I redid my hair you guys! I was really like 'argh what should I do, should I redo it or not?' In the end though on payday I decided I was going to go for it. After all I've done it once so in theory it should go better? Plus I wanted it a bit higher up. So here's the picture I uploaded to my instagram, the lowest pic is my before. As you can see it was quite a small amount of hair and a more defined line. Where as this time I wanted something a little more flowy. And I'm happy with how it came out, especially for a home kit!

What do you think?

Also how amazing has this weather been? So lovely, so hot! And just a little mention, as I'm definitely taking advantage of it, but asos has a 70% off sale. I'm really sorry if you were trying not to buy anything, but I wasn't either, hehehehe.

Have fun! xx

Review: Toni and Guy Casual Matte Texture Dry Shampoo

0

Hey everyone! So guess who tried a new shampoo? Yeah I did! And what did I think. Hmm. I hate writing negative reviews but unfortunately this isn't a happy one. So I've been loving Toni and Guy products recently and have tried their shampoo, and conditioner and some other styling products. So when I ran out of dry shampoo I figured I'd give one of theirs a go.

Retails for £7.49 at Boots

I tried the Toni and Guy Casual Matte Texture dry shampoo. To be fair I've used most of the bottle because when my hair is clean or not too greasy I do find it gives my hair more texture, it's more fun to 'play with'. It doesn't leave any white residue unless you spray it too close, and it smells quite nice!

However, and this is a big player in what I like about dry shampoo, it really fails in making my hair look and feel less greasy :( In fact I'd argue it can even make it worse! Once again I find myself reaching for my trusty Batiste dry shampoo when ever I need to liven up my hair, so maybe this is where my search for a different dry shampoo ends? As honestly I've not had a whole lot of luck!

Have any of you guys tried it? Let me know what you think!

LOreal Ombre Hair Kit Review-ish Plus Other Updates!

0

So I've set a little reminder on my phone every week, no joke, to remind me to actually sit down a write a blog post. I can't believe my last one was in December! It's like life just gets in the way. It's so annoying as I really, love writing them, when I remember. So in theory with this little reminder I'll be able to settle into a proper routine, weeeee!

I'm not sure where to begin, like a lot has happened over the last few months but at the same time nothing has really happened haha. Ooo since all the building work has kinda finished in our room, for now, I have a bedside table again! I have so much more stuff than shown though. When we eventually find a place (taking so long, really frustrating and stressful!) I can properly organise all my little things and maybe have a dressing table :O

Oh, I don't know if you remember as it was ages ago I blogged about it, but it's been months now since I tried the whole not washing my hair every day. Progress? Not great! I have to dry shampoo on the days I don't wash it still as it looks gross, maybe its the dry shampoo? I don't know but I cant go to work with greasy hair, blurgh. On the other hand I love how on none hair washing days I can just jump in the shower and be out super quick. Really nice!

Talking about hair, I decided to give one of the ombre kits you can buy a go  as I was really bored of my hair. And I really like how it turned out, it was dead easy to do, my ends aren't really that damaged and I've received lots of compliments so all is good :) If you're interested I picked mine up in boots for £7.49, It's L'Oreal which is a brand i'm really digging at the moment in terms of makeup and I used this one here. Although they do have other ones for different hair colour, I grabbed this one as while my hair can look quite dark it can also look like a much lighter brown depending on lighting as it has some blonde in it. So figured this would be the safer option. What do you guys think? I actually prefer it now to when I first did it, as I was a little eeeeek.

Okie, that's all for now! I'll update soon :) byee x

Review: Garnier Ultimate Blends The Silky 7-in-1 dry shampoo

0

This has left me with a =/ face. At first I was like it smells amazing, and when I sprayed it on it didn't leave any white marks which was a huge plus!

However, it didn't seem to do anything for me other than make my hair smell nicer. Honestly I got no volume from it like I do from batiste which I like and it left my hair greasy! This could just be me not getting along with the ingredients, I don't know but after trailing it for the last two weeks I'm just not happy. I gave it one last shot yesterday and it completely failed me again, and I was out of my alternative so I was left with lank looking hair at work... So I will definitely be returning to the trusty batiste, perhaps I'll try there one for brunette hair! Maybe that will cure the slightly grey appearance :)

My hair journey begins..

2

Guess who's currently in the process of switching their hair washing routine? Yeap it's me! For the last 8ish years I have been washing my hair every single day, which initially started because my hair just got greasier but now I'm pretty sure the reason my hair looks so rubbish if I don't is because of the daily stripping of natural oils :( booooo!

My hair after washing, was starting to feel dry and limp which is why im doing this!
So my plan of action? Wash it every third day. I last washed it Saturday so today is a hair washing day :) I'm not sure how bad my hair looks without any product (probably like I've poured oil on my head) as I'm using a dry shampoo to help combat the oil look. As without it I wouldn't even try this!

Currently I'm using the batiste fruity and cheeky cherry which is good, it does work but I feel like it's making my hair kinda grey! I've heard good things about the Garnia dry shampoo though so I plan to give that a go! I'll let you all know how I get on with it :)

My hair yesterday, you can see it's not brilliant but it's not horrific! seems to have more texture :D

Any with that, I'm off! Need to get ready for work :) Till next time
